Come ride with us! No one sits on the bench in mountain biking...

We are the Tucson Composite Mountain Bike Club for athletes in grades 5-12 who are interested in learning to ride off-road with peers, developing their technical mountain biking skills, and possibly racing. We serve middle and high school students within the greater Tucson metropolitan area.

What We Do

NICA (pronounced NYE-cah) uses mountain bikes as a tool to build strong minds, bodies, character, and community.

The Tucson Composite Mtb Team has three main functions within the Tucson community:

  1. Getting kids off screens and into nature- on a bike!

  2. Be intentionally inclusive- build community, confidence, and a lifelong love of riding.

  3. Engaging entire families- NICA welcomes the entire family to participate

Come be a Coach!

The NICA Coach License Program provides NICA Leaders’ Summit training, skills training for Coaches, coach development, membership support, and ongoing virtual education.

Develop Student Athletes

Tucson Composite Coaching works with students-athletes in groups of eight or less to develop riding skills, endurance skills, build community with similarly capable athletes.

Additionally, NICA our National governing body and AZ NICA the Arizona League provide educational resources, events, and organize the spring race series for our student athletes.
